My Friend Said So

EGAN is always a point of reference for many who seeks to buy forklifts, new or old. The trust and credibility comes from our presence in the market since 2002 and specializing in forklift parts.

One of the early questions we ask the interested buyer for better understanding is “Why do you want to buy this particular brand and spec?” And 90% of the time, the answer is “My friend recommended”. Well, the recommendation is not wrong but they are based on their experience. There are other aspects that you need to look into to. Whichever spec/brand/model you select, THE BEST is to base it on your need.

Consider the following as a general guideline in your selection process…

  1. Your industry
  2. Where do you use your forklift, e.g. cold room, outside, etc
  3. What weight are you lifting?
  4. What height do you require?
  5. What is the width of your items?
  6. Budget

Now you are ready to proceed. Take your friend’s recommendation as a reference but let your personal need take precedence.

Oh about budget, while it is great to have a budget, don’t just go cheap. Remember the TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP is more important than a low initial cost. The cost of maintenance and parts may cost multiple times more than your forklift if you don’t decide wisely.

Now you are ready to shop 😀
